Good food, better than I expected for Mexican food in smithers! Bit of a hidden location, the entrance faces the train tracks. Decent sized portions.
Great food and service!
Always a great time and great service. Tonight was a great dinner but my burrito had too much rice and very little pulled pork in it. Aw well, it was still good.
Great cozy atmosphere and great service, personable and energetic. Highly recommend this place to people looking for a great Mexican cuisine
Fantastic food, great serviceA definite Be Back locationGreat suggestions from the server, I like how they suggested food and drink when asked, bringing out an individual sized chips and salsa for an appetizer was great. The portions are a perfect amount to fill you if you're hungry.Friendly staff made it a pleasure to eat there as well, thanks Trackside Cantina, see you again
Awesome food. Great service. Will absolutely go back next time I'm in Smithers.
Great chicken enchilada supreme!
Great authentic Mexican food. I always make sure to stop in at Trackside when I'm in Smithers.
Great food, drinks and customer service
My Burrito was so good. Definitely going bad.
Excellent food excellent service. Very nice little restaurant
Good food but slow service. Stopped for lunch and it was over an hour before we got our food. It was good once we got it though.
Great food, sat outside against the train tracks and watched a train leave. Had the carnivore burrito, delicious
Amazing service and food!
This place was great, we had a great lunch here with both of us getting burritos. They were delicious, maybe a bit too much rice, but everything had a great flavor. The salad with housemade dressing was delicious as were the baked sweet potatoes. I did only have the one menu item but I cannot recommend this place enough. They even have a decent view from the railway.
A very busy place at lunch, good food with large menu selection
Always worth the visit. Great food, super atmosphere and outstanding service.
Great staff and great food at a reasonable price point. Plus TRAINS!!!
I went here during COVID-19 and could only get takeout. The staff were super friendly and I felt that they truly appreciated my business. I had the Pineapple Express Burrito with salad. The burrito was so good, I had it two nights in a row. The salad was fresh and the dressing went nicely with the burrito flavor. The location is pretty unique as well. Check it out.
Food was good. Service was ok. Would gladly go back. But would be nice if it was a bit more friendly. Its a nice hidden location.
excellent service, great menu options; decor and local ingredients
Always delicious food with reliable consistency in food quality and taste. Great service left us with glasses always full and needs always met.
Authentic Mexican cuisine, locally owned and operated, most of the fresh food sourced locally. Great staff and atmosphere. Live mariachi bands are a rare treat and add to the Mexican 'flavour' of the restaurant. Limited lunch and supper seatings, so reservations are highly recommended.
Very good quality food, real Mexican taste!
Amazing ambience. I love trains, it was so neat to eat there and a train even pulled in. The kids got up to watch it. Great memories were had. Had a big group of 12 people had great service and enjoyed the uniform of our waitress. I like how they mesh Mexican theme and trains together throughout the restaurant.Everyone enjoyed their food, some who had come before said they have been waiting weeks excited to eat there. It was my first time, won't be my last. Great service, great food!Only side note is at the time of posting this there was no railing to hold on to, to get up the couple steps outside. My grandmother almost fell, which would have been awful. I heard they used to have a railing, so hopefully that is in the works.
The food was very good
Good menu! Cocktails are average. Love the wall of spice! Dare to try to spiciest hot sauce! Or maybe steer away if you really want to enjoy your meal :)
Overpriced and serving the most inauthentic, Canadian Mexican food I’ve ever had. The service was friendly, and the location is fantastic, but I doubt I’ll eat there ever again.
Insanely good food. Such rich vibrant flavours and tastes. We decided to sit on the outdoor patio and it was a great choice as it felt very warm inside the restaurant. Had a lovely view of the mountains and was entertained by the trains that passed by. Good way to keep a child entertained while waiting for your food. I had something that could have been called a beergarita and it was yummy. We ordered tacos and enchiladas and both dishes were delicious. They obviously take a lot of care in preparing them and use fresh ingredients. We loved it and will be back!
Very good food, well presented and delicious. Definitely work coming for the atmosphere and food.
love there food. always great
Cheap and good
Terrible service!!! Short staffed which was fine except the server was blatantly rude to all the people at our table. She was snarky and impatient when it came to ordering skipping people mid order and talking over people. Then our order came out wrong and when I confronted her about our order and her attitude she argued with me about being rude and then told me to take it up with management and laughed..... so she is probably management which makes this awful experience so much worse. We were trying to celebrate a wedding and this completely ruined our night. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will definitely never go back.
Love the food
Terrific food. Service was top notch.
Overall the food really lacked flavour. Guacamole was bland with big unprocessed chunks of avocado. The refried beans were pretty one dimensional, and the tacos were just okay.Very cute restaurant with a lot of potential.
Great place to go for dinner. Always friendly and welcoming. Super awesome food. Thanks again.
The atmosphere feels vaugely Mexican and the venue could use some repairs. The service is kind and quick. The food while not expensive, comes in surprisingly small portions. I had the pulled pork tostada, and the flavor of the pork felt overpowered by the other toppings. It is the only Mexican restaurant in town, and if that is what you crave then it could be a lot worse, otherwise you might be better off I looking elsewhere.
Amazing food, always fresh. Can get a little busy, but a small price to payfor good food. My only quandry: they always forget to remove the guac.
Totally loved their food especially the nachos. Huge servings !
Absolutely consistently divine! The prawn Taco were to die for.
Ten out of ten. Excellent service, excellent food.
The food is so good and the atmosphere is great.
Fantastic little place! A little tricky to find the first time but it's suitably named being right beside the rail tracks. VERY good food the whole menu is fantastic. When you walk in you immediately feel like you're in Mexico. A friendly warm and cozy place, guaranteed it will make you relax and feel at home (or on vacay in Mexico if you'd rather have a mini vacation)
Had another wonderful evening here. Great atmosphere, tasty food and excellent service
Simply the best. Went twice during short stay. Great location in old train building and the food is terrific.
It has only dinner hours during the week
Good Mexican food. Great service.
A 3.5 based on good food but under portioned with excessive rice, yam and other veggie sides. Nice margaritas, pleasant surroundings and good service.
